After their Mehndi
After their fun and intimate home Mehndi, Sarah and Nabil had a beautiful ceremony. This intimate Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City Muslim Wedding Ceremony was such a joy to be a part of. The day had a very laid back vibe. Make up by Dina and her team worked away on family members. I took a photograph of Sarah’s ethically sourced, fair-minded, and handmade ring by Bario Neal.
Ready for Nikkah
The couple was all dressed up and ready for their Nikkah! The Nikkah is a Muslim wedding ceremony. We created a first look opportunity in the beautiful halls of the Pentagon City Ritz-Carlton. Then, we headed over to the Crystal City Waterpark. I also made sure to stop by some of my favorite graffiti in the area. I first saw this cool spot when shooting Anam and Josh’s wedding at The Westin Crystal City.
We came back and headed into a room beautifully set by Sarah Khan Event Styling. Imam Shair then read the Nikkah in a non-traditional format. Nabil and Sarah were standing and facing one another similar to western wedding ceremonies. The event ended with afternoon tea prepared by the Ritz-Carlton staff.
