The Schuyler DC Wedding

With two stories of Art Deco design with cutting-edge technology and even secure VIP access so you can make a grand and safe entrance, weddings at The Schuyler in DC are undeniably bold and modern.

Attached to the Hamilton Hotel for a seamless wedding weekend — get ready upstairs and then see your vision come to life.

About The Schuyler

The Schuyler ballroom is a canvas meant to be personalized — even the white, two-level columns contain LED lights that can be adjusted to fit your color palette and the mood of the event.

Designed for weddings and gatherings of all kinds, the flexible Washington DC event space makes event planning and hosting a cinch. While many event venues offer on-site catering and event planning, this location goes above and beyond with private VIP walkways, a dance floor, high-end A/V equipment, loading docks, storage and everything you could think of when it comes to a tailored event. No stone is left unturned.

Weddings at the Schuyler in DC

The Schuyler is beyond unique — different from one wedding to the next. We’ve seen classic blue and white weddings here along with everything from disco jungles to muted pink florals trailing along the balcony. It’s truly a backdrop that can become part of any vision.

The main ballroom features two floors of clean, sleek space — ideal for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and dancing. Thanks to their dedicated “pre-event” space, transforming the ballroom from the site of your vows to the band stage is straightforward. Simply invite your guests into cocktail hour in the adjacent space and then let your team set up for the after party (or rather, the reception with dinner and dancing).

Located next to the historic Hamilton Hotel, the buildings connect for easy on-site lodging and no need for transportation. Just stay right upstairs and get ready there too.

The hotel ballroom easily transforms from one event to the next — hanging florals, oversized seating charts, and iconic dance floor — easily make it your own.

While the venue contains almost everything you need, as DC photographers, we recommend stepping outside for a first look or couple portraits to give your wedding photographs variety. Franklin Park is right outside the doors of the Schuyler for beautifully-lit portraits. In the event of rain, the National Gallery of Art is just a 7-minute Uber drive away and well worth it.

Who are The Schuyler sisters?

This DC venue is a tribute to the iconic Schuyler Sisters — Margaret, Angelica, Elizabeth, Cornelia and Catherine — this space embodies the spirit that each of these sisters are now known for. Whether you prefer the theatrical portrayal of the trio in Hamilton (Margaret, Angelica and Elizabeth), or are more inspired by all of their roles as prominent women during the American Revolution, you’ll appreciate that The Schuyler pays homage to their forward-thinking and independent attitudes throughout its design. Versatile and intuitive, the venue is designed to emulate their grace and eloquence with an innovative twist.
