I’ve been to some of the most beautiful places in the world and yet the peace I found here is out of this world. The city of Madina is known for its welcoming people and serene energy. It’s the city that welcomed Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) with open arms when the city of his birth-Mecca exiled him. My own relationship with Prophet Mohammed developed when I read his biography by Lesley Hazleton. Her storytelling approach to understanding The Messenger outside of the religious realm (while still including religious context) is really fascinating. You'll fall in love with the character of someone who was destined to be an outsider only to become become one of the most beloved figures in this world. Something that really resonates with me is how he transformed his soul while being ostracized by society and in doing so he ended up revolutionizing said society.
This photo was shot on Kodak Portra 400 on a Canon P and was developed and scanned by Photovision. Aside from cropping adjustments, these photos are completely unedited. In a day when artificial intelligence can make aesthetically perfect images I wanted these images to be exactly as my eye saw them. Real and authentic.
Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change the condition within themselves
