Abbey and Aakash opened their multi-day Hindu and Jewish fusion celebration with an outdoor Hindu ceremony at the Ronald Reagan Building, where open sky and neoclassical stone lent the morning its own kind of grandeur. The day began quietly at The Royal Sonesta Washington DC Capitol Hill, where getting ready set the tone before the color and ceremony ahead. Surrounded by family, the couple moved through the rituals of a Hindu ceremony with a reverence that would carry through every celebration to come. Held in the heart of the city yet wrapped in ritual, it was a beginning worthy of everything that followed.
